Ravir takes the W in her second career start!

19 Mar 2021

Ravir lived up to her name in her second start, charging home and taking the Win with plenty left in the tank.  A bit green out of the gate, her rider Samy Camacho got her to settle behind horses for the first half mile of the slow fractioned race (48.1).  Tactically moving positions from 5th at the ½, Ravir was guided behind the eventual second place finisher on the turn and moved out 4 wide in the early stretch to get a clear run.  She charged home under a hand ride to win by half a length, covering the mile and an eigth in 1:49.2.

By winning what was described by Clement as “one of the hardest maidens at Tampa this winter," we see a bright future with Ravir.  A full sister to resident Green Lantern broodmare and multiple graded stakes winner Auntie Joy, she is following in the footsteps of her older sibling towards to an eventual stakes campaign during the summer and fall.  Her next start is currently undecided but we are looking to stretch her out going forward.
