AP Indian scores another stakes victory

19 Jun 2016

A.P. Indian, the ultra-game six year old son of Enders Sister, captured his fifth stakes win on Saturday June 18, winning the Donald Levine Stakes at Parx for the second consecutive year.

The vicorty was worth $60,000.  Sent off as the 3/5 favorite, he was challenged early by second choice Roxbury N Overton.  The two of the them flew to an opening quarter of 22.3 and a second quarter in 22.1 for a half in 44.4.  A.P.Indian finally forced that rival to submit in the last furlong and went on to an easy three length victory.

Next up will be a graded stake at Belmont Park in the closing weeks.  He is sound and going well, so fingers are crossed that he will finally prove himself in top company.
