A.P. Indian remains undefeated with game victory

A.P. Indian re-rallied in the last few strides to gain a dead heat victory in a first condition allowance race at Churchill Downs on September 6.  After pressing a quick pace, the three year old son of Enders Sister took command at the top of the stretch with only late running favorite Exploring left to beat.  Exploring wore down 'Indian in the last eighth of a mile and appeared to secure the top spot when heading him shortly before the wire, but the Green Lantern standardbearer found another gear and within a few strides rallied between horses, drew even and appeared to pass Exploring just before the wire. After a long wait, the race was declared a dead heat.

The time for the mile was a quick 1:35.97.  A.P. Indian was making his first start following an 11-month layoff.  His next start is expected to come at Keeneland or Churchill in October.
