Two year olds continue to work in Camden

11 Mar 2013

The nine two year olds in the care of Mickey Preger in Camden, SC have continued to progress and work well for their introduction to racing later this year.  Among the most impressive are Consign, a Dynaformer filly out of London Bid, Ready Player One, a More Than Ready filly purchased at the Keeneland September sale and Torre di Pisa, the Tiznow filly out of Leaning Tower.  Not far behind are the others purchased at the Keeneland sale and the homebred Stormy Atlantic filly RNA'd at Fasig Tipton now named Storm Watcher.

The other fillies in the group include Queen Daenerys (Street Sense), Stella Maker (Empire Maker), Skittle Bomb (Giants Causeway), Clever Beauty (Indian Charlie) and Tapiteao (Tapit).

Rusty Arnold will be training the six fillies he helped identify at the sales, while plans for the three homebreds have not been finalized.

It has been a cold winter in Camden.  It even snowed on the morning we visited the facility to watch the horses train.  Despite the cold, the horses are in good shape and progressing nicely with only very minor setbacks.  Several of the horses may receive a few months R & R at Golden Age Farm and at least half will go right into training.
