Local trainer Mike Morrison has taken over training of Keystroke, the 3-year-old son of Annabelly (by Songandaprayer) who has been recovering from an injury.

Based on the recommendation of Dr. Gary Priest, a full recovery is more likely if his training regimen is altered to include short, but frequent breezes- also known as interval training.  This method of training used to be the norm in thoroughbred training, but is now employed by only a handful of trainers due to today's emphasis on sustained speed rather than stamina combined with short bursts of speed in the race.  Morrison agreed to be part of the experiment and hopes to get Keystroke to the races this winter.  He is based at the Thoroughbred Center on Paris Pike.
